2005 Certification Regulations
1) Liability Insurance
for Personal Trainers
- Students
must obtain Liability Insurance
prior to the start date of the
program.
2) Missing a Weekend Workshop
- In
studio, students must check-out and
view video tape of missed workshop
within 1 week.
- Students must also schedule a 2 hr
private or semi-private with the
main course instructor ($100/$70).
3) Missing a Mandatory Lab Session
-Labs
will not be taped! Students must
make up time missed by taking a
private or semi-private session
with the course instructor within 5
days of missed lab ($50/$35 per hr).
4) Practical Exams
- Each
practical exam is be scheduled by
the front desk with the course
instructor ($50).
- If student fails a practical exam,
student is allowed to move forward
to the next workshop;
however, student must re-take the
practical exam within 5 days
following the workshop.
- If student fails a 2nd time, a 2
hr private with course instructor is
required ($100).
- If student does not pass a 3rd
time, then owner, Lynne Bierdz, and
course instructor may require the
student to sit out the program to
prepare for the following semester
in order to support student's
completion.
5) Final Written Exam
- The
final written exam is to be
individually scheduled by each
student before the course end date.
- A passing grade of B or higher is
required on the final written exam.
- Students who do not pass will have
1 month to retake the exam at a cost
of ($100).
6) Time Management and
Responsibility of Completion by
Course End Date

Students are required to complete
the program in which they are
enrolled by the program's end date.
- MPB accepts no responsibility for
the student's ability or non-ability
of fulfilling requirements by the
course end date.
- Students understand that they are
solely responsible for managing
their schedules in order to not fall
behind
in this program.
- Students requesting an extension,
for any reason, beyond the course
end date will be required to pay a
studio day rate ($25).
7) Awarding Certificate of
Completion
- Once
a student has completed all
requirements and passed all exams, a
MPB Certification of completion
will be awarded and mailed to the
student.
- MPB is committed that you are
successful in our program; however,
due to unforeseen circumstances in
the
student's life, MPB cannot guarantee
student's successful completion.
8) Apprentice/Intern Program and
Hiring
- Once
student passes the Level 2 practical
exam, student may be hired by MPB to
train an MPB client who
has purchased an Apprentice/Intern
Package at an hourly rate of $20.
- However, MPB does not guarantee
employment either during or after
program ends.
